Fatal shooting affray in Mingo County
A shooting at Levi Gibson's store on Ben Creek near Williamson left Harrison Collins dead and Lane Collins Jr. seriously wounded. George Chapman, inside the house, returned fire after the Collins brothers fired on the store. Authorities note a past dispute between Land Collins Sr. and Mr Gibson.

Citizen Hurt After Bull Attack Near Farm Field
T H White was knocked down and bruised when a bull charged him while he hunted his cow in a field. He was injured yesterday during the encounter, and is confined to bed from the effects of the attack.
