Ex-boyfriend charged in West Virginia women killings
Michael E. Reed II, 28, was charged with first degree murder in the slayings of Norah J. Starcher Pope, 28, formerly of Spencer, and Mary S. Holston, 23, of Conover. Pope had signed complaints Friday alleging break‑in, assault, and threats. The women were found in Pope's home after missing work. Reed was in custody in Burke County on unrelated charges.
