Fats Plant to Contest City Ban in Princeton
Belcher and company of Princeton announce plans to test in Mercer county circuit court the ordinance prohibiting fats rendering. They claim the firm has aided the war effort by collecting half a million pounds of glycerine producing fats from surrounding counties and protest the city rule while continuing to process kitchen fats from stores. Also reported is a condolence letter from General MacArthur to Mrs. Lucy Snider on the death of her son Sergeant Woodrow W. Snider, who served in the air corps and died May 27 over Wakde Island.
