Improve Thorn Street Paving Sought by Princeton Council
Princeton council last evening addressed issuing city licenses for hotels restaurants and pool rooms and discussed further street improvements with Thorn street as the main east end thoroughfare to be paved. The meeting noted historic ties to the old turnpike and civil war era, and cited plans to clear quicksand and attract investment while praising local bee industry and Massie and apiary laws. Six incorporated Mercer County cities are mentioned along with a court case and local sports excitement in Bluefield and Princeton.
