Carousel comeback honors town that saved Drew show
Princeton hosts a Drew Collection carousel from 1948 as part of SummerFest 1995. James H. Drew’s misfortune nearly shuttered the carnival in 1949, but locals persisted, enabling the ride’s survival. The restored 20 horse wood carousel, with a 1919 Wurlitzer organ, travels to select locations five or six times yearly.
