Tazewell County weighs short term loan option

Tazewell County officials consider a loan of up to 600000 to cover debts as cash flow tightens. County Administrator Richard Farthing also proposes moving 600000 from the landfill fund to the general revenue fund, risking the need to restore funds later. The plan targets debts including a 650000 retirement payment due July 15 and will be discussed at the June 27 board meeting amid budget tax hike talks.
