Osborne Brothers Denied Landfill Contract After Probe

McDowell County Commission rejected Osborne Brothers bid of 249 400 to operate the sanitary landfill citing missing qualification documents and a non conforming bid. Draper Aden recommended reevaluation of Salyers Construction, the current operator, while the commission moved to hire eight jail staff and replace pool staff, amid court order directives and staffing disputes.
