Scout Camp to Open July 14 in Bland County Virginia
Scout Executive Charles H. Atkinson leads a qualified staff for the Southern West Virginia town of Bland County as the Boy Scout camp opens July 14 on Wolf Creek. Four one week periods run July 14-21, 21-28, 28- Aug 4, and Aug 4-11 with fees of 7 dollars per week and possible reductions for early or group registration and adult troop leaders. The program features swimming, water games, nature lore, handicraft, leather work, bird feeding, hikes, tree houses, and weekly Sunday services with Catholic mass transport. Health checks, water testing, doctor access, first aid, and wholesome meals are provided. Authorities emphasize safety and supervision by a high-quality staff led by Atkinson and including J. L. Kirk, Rev. Paul J. Roger, Bud Brown, John Magann, and Jimmy Green.

Local Sanitarium Adds New X Ray Therapy Equipment
The Bluefield sanitarium announced the addition of a deep X ray therapy unit for disease treatment. Dr. 8 G Davidson, Roentgenologist, will head the department with H Hale as X ray technician. Davidson and his wife are staying at the West Virginian hotel awaiting permanent residence. He trained at Roanoke College and the University of Virginia and has practice in X ray work in Roanoke and Norfolk.
