Glenville W Va June 22 Ill feeling that began over rural phone charges led to John G Weaver 60 Trace Fork on Tanner Gilmer county being shot by Beaman R Wright 50 after an argument. Wright admitted firing saying he hated to but did. He told Prosecutor Craddock he overtook Weaver as he rode a horse on a highway and Weaver began throwing stones. A rain of missiles followed and Wright fired twice hitting Weaver one bullet in the heart and another in the shoulder. Wright surrendered after calling the prosecutor and was held for preliminary arraignment Monday with defense by Senator R F Kidd.

Henry Farthing Dies After Fall From Truck
Henry Farthing, 17, fell from a moving motor truck near Brushfork and struck a passing car, dying ten minutes later at Bluefield sanitarium. Frank Russell, driver of the other vehicle, lost control and crashed down an embankment while trying to avoid the boy. Farthing, his brother Howard, and friend Kyle Helston were riding on the truck when the accident occurred. no charges were filed against Russell. Funeral services are set for 3 o'clock at his home.
