Hundreds protest alleged Afghan election fraud in Kabul
Hundreds of Abdullah supporters gathered in Kabul to protest alleged fraud in the June presidential runoff. They accused the Independent Election Commission of rigging results while thousands urged calm. The protest occurred as violence across Afghanistan killed at least 13 people and the IEC prepared initial results due July 2.

Mercer County Grand Jury Indicts Dozens in June 2014 Session
Mercer County grand jury handed down numerous indictments including attempted first degree murder, possession of controlled substances and grand larceny. Docket day set for June 23 at 9:30 a.m. before Judge William Sadler at the Mercer County Courthouse. A bench warrant will issue for nonappearance and a $25 nonwaivable bond processing fee is required payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Indicted defendants include Daniel R. Younger of Beaver for cocaine offenses, Bradley Barker of Princeton for DUI with injury and related counts, and many others from Princeton, Bluefield, Beaver, and nearby towns facing charges from homicide to weapons, burglary, and fraud.
