New Evidence Prompts Hearing on Winchester Bank Robbery
A Wednesday hearing in U S District Court will review newly discovered evidence in the Winchester bank robbery case. Charles Abbott Lauritzen, a 40 year old Fairfax, Maryland ex policeman, allegedly confessed to the Hagerstown Maryland National Bank heist. John Edward Marsh, already sentenced to 15 years, was identified by a teller as the robber. Marsh will be brought from a federal prison in Atlanta for the proceeding.
