Stocks slide on weak housing data and rate fears
Wall Street pulled back as investors awaited the Federal Reserve rate decision next week. Weak housing data and declines in oil and metals weighed on the market while a Nokia Siemens venture offered brief support. Dow fell 72.44 to 10,942.11. S&P 500 and Nasdaq also declined. Bond yields edged up signaling slower economy expectations.
