Jurors serving Mercer County Circuit Court are scheduled to report Friday at 9 30 a.m. in Judge John R. Frazier s courtroom. The American Association of Retired Persons Bluefield Chapter No 116 meets at 12 30 p.m. today at Trinity Methodist Church Bluefield for a carry in dinner. Spencer Thompson will lead club business after dinner.

Fire destroys Welch woman’s car in church lot
A car owned by Mary Johnson of Carswell Hollow was destroyed by fire in the Trinity Assembly Church parking lot on Stewart Street. Welch Fire Department said the car was a total loss and the cause is undetermined after a 12:30 p.m. call. one truck and three men responded.

JTPA Plan Modifications Seek West Virginia Review
The Employment and Training Office announces modifications to the Service Delivery Area Job Training Plan for 1985. It covers Title IIA youth and disadvantaged adults with work experience and training, plus Title IIB Summer Youth for 8470 youths ages 14 to 21, funded by the U S Department of Labor.
