Senior center to close in Princeton due to funds loss
Mercer County Commission on Aging will close the Multi-Purpose Senior Center on June 30 due to long standing financial problems. Board President Kathryn Bayless announced the center will stop receiving Older Americans Act grants and will transition Medicaid In Home Services and related programs to another agency. Center activities at 600 Trent Street will continue through June 30 while the MCCOA handles the transition. Executive Director Melanie Arellano promised seniors will not be adversely affected and staff will pursue a smooth shutdown plan.
