Melania Trump Says She Hates Families Separated At Border
First lady Melania Trump expressed hatred at seeing children separated from parents at the border and urged bipartisan immigration reform. The statement, issued by spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham, frames the issue as one for Congress while noting the administration’s May policy aimed at criminal prosecutions and more jailings. Kirstjen Nielsen later tweeted that the department does not have a policy of separating families at the border.
