Mercer man sentenced to 25 years for child pornography

Mercer County man faces final hearing in firearm possession case
Alan Boyd Colburn Jr., 43, of Princeton, is to appear July 12 for a status hearing on a felon in possession of a firearm charge. He was found guilty June 7 of child abuse by a parent guardian or custodian resulting in bodily injury, domestic battery, and two counts of wanton endangerment. He could face up to 1 to 5 years on each child abuse count, up to 5 years on each wanton endangerment count, and up to 12 months on domestic battery. He already earned credit for time served and home confinement. Colburn is jailed at the Southern Regional Jail near Beckley.
