Music of the Mountains by JHN Nelson review at River Bluegrass
River Bluegrass hosted Canon Bluegrass Band and Johnny Staats and the Delivery Boys last Saturday. Staats played from his debut CD Wires and Wood, trading rapid licks as fans enjoyed a sunlit Bluegrass scene. Staats, a longtime winner of multiple Ohio and Vandalia titles, drew on early Bill Monroe influences and featured guests Kathy Mattea Sam Bush and Tim O'Brien on the Oak Hill recording.
