Spencer States Doctor Asked to Quit Over Patient Death

Dr. V M Zabat a 71 year old Spencer State Hospital physician faces a quit or retire ultimatum after being involved in the care of Maude Stone who died of a diabetic coma. State Health Director Pickett cited undetected diabetes and weak lab follow ups as contributing factors. Dr Zabat plans to work while considering his options and says he did nothing to deserve the move.
