Technology stocks surge in half-hearted market rebound
New York AP reports technology shares led a tentative bounce as Monday’s 207-point Dow drop was partly erased with a 37.36 rise to 8,665.29. Nasdaq posted the sharpest gain while outside tech, bargain-hunting stalled amid ongoing Asia worries and profits concerns. Tony Cecin of Piper Jaffray cautioned the bounce may be knee-jerk.
