United Way official speaks to Bluefield Rotary on 1981-82 goal
William J. Reynolds vice-chairman for the United Way Campaign urged sharing not only gifts but time, noting Reagan budget cuts will raise the local United Way burden. He cited last year’s $199,000 and projected $220,000 to $240,000 for 1981-82. Richard Bowman of Appalachian Power promoted a United Way film, and the program highlighted volunteers who run the nation’s 2,700 United Ways through fundraising, planning, and information services.
