State funding for the Tazewell County library remains safe for next year though local support is cut. Library official Laurie Surface says the county will still reduce the budget by 27,000 but match local spending to the prior year once the 1991 92 audit is finished. The library will also pay the county for services previously provided free, about 15,000, forcing possible cuts in books by mail and purchases. Citizens pressed the board to restore funding to current levels.
Ninth District Rep.
