Reagan plan gains industry backing amid tax reform push
The National Association of Wholesalers Distributors and two major firms Bethlehem Steel and General Motors endorse the plan. Wall Street analysts cite broad corporate gains from a 33 percent rate, offset by a 25 percent early rise in corporate taxes, benefiting service oriented and high technology sectors including broadcasting publishing electronics and retailing. Small business would gain from rate cuts and individuals could share in firms' improved fortunes.
