Robbers Take $1,000 From Smithfield Bank
Three men robbed the Miners' and Merchants' Bank of Smithfield Ohio taking $1,000 while a lone bookkeeper was inside. A lookout girl aided the trio as they fled in an automobile. Jefferson County authorities trailed the getaway car for about 30 miles before losing it.
