Water rate case sparks Bluefield intervenor stance
Blaine Braithewaite of the South Bluefield Neighborhood Association says the group will file as an intervening party in the West Virginia American Water rate case. He notes Bluefield pays among the top three percent in the state and questions cost recovery for projects elsewhere. The company seeks to recover operating costs and a return on more than 411 million invested, with 63.8 million in new capital since 2004.
