Indicted official faced with bench trial over misused agency funds
The 49 page superseding indictment names Graham with awarding excessive bonuses to himself and wife, deleting critical comments from board minutes, funding son’s health benefits with agency money, cashing sick leave, diverting agency funds, and receiving a $6802.35 plasma TV and speakers. He allegedly failed to report pension funds as taxable and filed false tax returns. Judge Faber ruled for a bench trial starting June 28 in Bluefield after a pretrial publicity review.
