A USAF B-25 carrying nine aboard crashed on Spruce Knob near Circleville West Virginia while en route from Olmstead Pa to Offutt Neb. The twin engine bomber burned, two bodies were found in trees, one on a rock, and a woman’s pocketbook was recovered.
