Hatfield McCoy Trail gets 1.25 million funding approval

Senate Bill 2009 allocates 250000 yearly for five years to the Hatfield McCoy Trail System, expanding the 400 mile ATV network across Logan Mingo Boone and toward Wayne Wyoming Mercer and McDowell counties. Trail headman Matthew Ballard says the funding will boost growth, economy, and private landowner cooperation, with a Wyoming County opening in six to eight months. County leaders welcome the potential domino effect and broader county benefits.
