Safety milestone at Glen Lyn Plant sets record hours
Appalachian Power Company reports Glen Lyn Plant, Glen Lyn Virginia, achieved an all time safety record on March 31 with 1,161,175 hours without a disabling injury, surpassing the previous record from August 27, 1967. Plant manager Sandy Pennington notes four years of effort and 8,665 safe hours per employee among 134 workers.
