The Varmint Half Marathon and 5K Winners
The 17th edition of The Varmint drew a large crowd in Burkes Garden, Tazewell County, for a rural oval track half marathon and 5K. Runners began as fog rose over hayfields with Steve Pruitt finishing first in the 5K, Diane Beavers second, and Allison Pastorek winning the female half marathon. Jon Williamson led the half marathon finishers.
