Officials Meet To Detail War Pullout
In Honolulu a task force of military and civilian officials met with the Pacific commander to work out details for withdrawing 25 000 U S troops from South Vietnam by August end. Marines Repel Night Assault Near Da Nang
About 150 enemy soldiers attacked a U S Marine bivouac 22 miles southwest of Da Nang but were repelled with help from artillery and an AC47 Spooky gunship. One Marine killed and two wounded. In the same area, 23 enemy dead were found at daybreak after a prior dawn attack by about 400 North Vietnamese troops.
