Brooks and Rediker, both 38, lead a West Virginia tour with the Red Baron Squadron in vintage Stearman planes. They meet children at airports, promote fundraising for the Children’s Miracle Network, and involve Acme Deskins stores in the donation program. A fundraiser ride winner from Tazewell, Kenneth Rose, flies for the first time, praising the experience. Mercer Airport chief John Gilley also flies, noting safety as a priority and joking about pizza quality.
