West, North leader with KQJ87642, opened spades. South overcalled hearts. bidding led to a complex sequence ending in seven notrump after a series of invites and passes. Mike, North, and West reached a grand slam with Mike converting a six spade double to six notrump and South accepting to seven notrump. The finale yielded three extra tricks for declarer.
