Boston June 9 The American Medical Association house of delegates tabled action on reaffirming in 1917 that there is no scientific basis for alcohol as food or in treatment of patients. The measure by Dr Victor C Vaughn of Ann Arbor was referred to a committee after debate, with Dr D H Murray of Syracuse casting the deciding vote. Dr A T McCormack of Louisville urged immediate action, urging condemnation of those seen as damaging the profession amid a firestorm of criticism.

Man Kills Two Officers Then Ends Own Life in Toledo Shootout
