Mercer teen to face Mercer grand jury in homicide case

Kayla LaSala, a 14 year old tried as an adult, is to appear before the Mercer County grand jury next week in connection with the stabbing death of her father Steve Michael LaSala, 48, in Bluefield. Prosecutor Bill Sadler said a Monday hearing on motions was held, though closed, prior to the judge moving the case to adult status.
