Labor Mobility anti poverty plan ends due to funding cut
An experimental program moving unemployed workers to jobs, called highly successful, is terminated after Congress refused further funding. Labor Mobility relocated over 6,000 people across up to 16 states, with rising success rates and tax contributions offsetting costs. Only Missouri, Montana and Mississippi remain briefly active as funding dries up.

Breakthrough Drug Shows Improvement for Parkinsonian Patients
A Harvard neurology professor reports in JAMA sustained moderate to excellent gains in 66 percent of 163 Parkinsonian patients treated. Schwab says results extend to about 200 patients and combining antiflu with L-dopa may cut L-dopa dosage by up to 50 percent and reduce costs from about 2000 to 100 yearly. The National Institute hails the potential major breakthrough amid earlier Brookhaven, Cornell, Columbia, and Northwestern findings. Parrots can imitate human voices due to their vocal structure and fleshy tongue.
