Martha Noel and Charles Cedes both colored were being taken to Con stability’s home after trial before magistrate when struck by a vehicle. The incident likely proved fatal for four injuries to another prisoner.
A northeast West Virginia crash on the Jaeger curve killed four aboard a westbound train and seriously injured a colored man. Among the dead were James Payne a deputy constable and John Ashworth a schoolteacher. Ed Jones of Jackson Ohio died later. Martha Noel a white woman and Charles Oedes a colored man were also hurt. Relatives include John Ashworth's sisters Mrs. Jerry Akers and Mrs. Charles Bailey and brother A A Ashworth.
Charles Bailey learned yesterday of his wife's brother's death by telegram. Mrs J C Akers was first informed through the Daily Telegraph.
St Paul Virginia June 7 The Clinchfield Coal field shows rising output as the Carolina Clinchfield and Ohio railroad reports coal shipments for the first five months up 2.08 percent from 1910. May tonnage exceeds April by over 18 percent as Clinchfield Coal Corp keeps mines operating six days weekly and opens new pits. No car shortage exists despite export demand aided by favorable rates to Charleston.

Fairfield N Y June 7 five persons are dead and several seriously injured after a collision of four freight trains on the New York New Haven and Hartford railroad. An east bound extra stopped for a hot box and a following extra crashed into it. The wreckage spanned four tracks with a thirty five foot high pile of cars and an engine beneath. Two boilers exploded as fires began.

Stokes, wounded in the thigh and legs, was taken to a hospital. the women were arrested after he reported they demanded 15 000 for letters he had written.

He is well known in this city and Graham for his service since the bank opened. LD. R. Wood, who will succeed him, may enter real estate work and has been with Union Bank since it opened.
