Tropical Storm Andrea Aims Florida Coast With Warnings
Tropical Storm Andrea neared Florida delivering heavy rain as warnings stretched from Boca Grande to Indian Pass and along the East Coast to Virginia. Wind peaked near 60 mph and landfall was expected in the Big Bend region before crossing Georgia and the Carolinas. Governor Rick Scott warned of possible tornadoes as eight had been confirmed in the state and graduation ceremonies at Countryside High in Clearwater were disrupted.
