Keystone Church Opens New Building at Keystone Mines
The Burke Baptist Church of Keystone held the opening service in its new church facility at the foot of the Keystone mines. Rev. Wiley Brooks delivered the first sermon in the building, which accommodates about 300 and features blond paneling, white acoustical ceilings, and red carpet. The church, organized in 1948, will host a homecoming Sunday and marks Rev. Brooks 12th anniversary. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.

Charles Town West Virginia AP three Maryland men died in a late night collision on U S 340 near Shenandoah Downs racetrack. Brothers Roger and Carl Hamilton of RFD 1 Mr Airy were killed after riding with driver Donald E Smith who also perished. Curtis Smith Baltimore was treated for facial lacerations and a leg injury. The crash halted traffic and added to the state 1964 road toll of 188 as authorities investigated the cause.
