Talk On Rubber Highlights Meet In Akron Ohio
A Goodrich company guest speaker at Akron gave a program sponsored by Superior-Sterling with C F Brooks in charge. Newton, former head of a Federal research group, discussed boosting rubber yields and noted that small holders own under 100 acres. He said wartime industry focused on machinery and labor, not trees, and that total world natural rubber output nears 1 2 million tons annually while synthetic rubber could reach 1 million tons. The institute’s annual meeting is set for June 29 with West and Virginia Engineering involved.
