Two Bluefield men charged after drive by shootings
Palm R L Hamm of Bluefield PD filed a criminal complaint after two Bluefield men Hindman and Henderson were charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm. Henderson said a white sedan fired at him on Frederick Street, while subsequent shots were fired at his residence during a confrontation with Hindman and Moore. Police recovered two Taurus 9mm handguns from a log behind the Pearis Street home. The incident involved a verbal dispute earlier in the day and led to warrants and arrests.

Former FBI spy Robert Hanssen dies in prison at 79
Former FBI agent Robert Hanssen, who traded secrets with Moscow for more than 1.4 million in cash and diamonds, died in a Florence Colorado federal prison. He was serving life without parole since 2002 for 15 counts of espionage and related charges. Authorities said he died of natural causes after being found unresponsive in his cell.
