Steel firm refuses to cancel termination of labor pact
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp refuses to withdraw a bankruptcy petition to terminate its labor contract with United Steelworkers. A hearing is set later this month unless a modified deal is agreed. Current contract runs to July 31 1986 and court approval could allow pay and work standard changes and possible strikes.
