Malpractice Case Gets Underway in Mercer County Circuit Court
A $1,000,000 civil suit by Oakvale resident Robert Carl Brown against Bluefield Building Commission doing business as Bluefield Community Hospital and Dr. Steve J. Misak opened in Mercer County Circuit Court. Jurors were questioned as Judge Howard M. Jarrett presides. the city of Bluefield was dismissed as a party. Brown claims negligent treatment at Bluefield Community Hospital from Dec 1976 to Jan 1977 left him permanently disabled and unable to work, with ongoing medical costs.
