Foreman C L Brown Killed in Plant Accident at Matoaka
C L Brown foreman of American Armature and Engineering Company at Matoaka was killed yesterday morning when a casting struck him during piston assembly. The 34 year old native of Tazewell County was supervising the pressing when a piston rod was fitted into a piston head. He left a widow and one child. The two nearby workers escaped injury. Brown's body was brought to Bluefield for burial and later taken to Matoaka. Funeral plans were not set by nightfall.
