Bland High seniors reflect on 2007 commencement
Bland High School held a Saturday evening 7 pm graduation for 40 seniors. Valedictorian Kimberly Harman and Salutatorian Sondra Harman spoke, with 4-H agent Betty Kaye Muncey delivering the address. A NASA scholarship was awarded to Morgan Harless as a slide show of student photos surprised families.

Ronald Perry of Bluefield earns inclusion in the 11th edition 2006 2007 list. Tazewell weighs tire disposal fees and ton charges
Tazewell County considers an ordinance to classify tires as solid waste and impose a 2 per tire fee up to six tires, plus 80 per ton for more than six tires. A public hearing is set for Tuesday at 7 40 p m during the June Board of Supervisors meeting at the Public Service Authority office.
