Dow Industrial Average Clears 9000 On Strong Data
Wall Street surged as manufacturing data beat forecasts lifting the Dow above 9,000 for the first time since December. The Dow closed up 47.55 at 8,897.81 after a week with a 2.9 percent rise while the Nasdaq fell and the S P 500 edged higher.
