Williamson West Virginia June 1 authorities of Mingo county looked tonight for an end to the mountain feud that cost the Dents and Johnsons one man. They hinge on the voluntary surrender of Bill Johnson brother of slain Charlie Johnson to face questioning about Ransom Dents pistol death two weeks past. Johnson, emaciated after weeks in the hills, arrived with his uncle to Sheriff W E Burchett. The feud follows Ransom Dents May 16 death at Breeden during a crease bridge incident in which Leo Dent was later sentenced to eight years for killing Charlie Johnson. No hearing date for Johnson was set. He said since May 16 he had not slept in a bed and got meals only by visiting friends and relatives.
