Six Cleveland officers indicted in deadly car chase
Six Cleveland police officers were indicted on charges tied to a November 2012 freeway chase that ended with two unarmed suspects dying after a hail of gunfire. Patrol officer Michael Brelo faces two manslaughter counts for firing at least 15 shots through a windshield. Five supervisors are charged with dereliction of duty for failing to stop the pursuit. The case ties into a wide federal probe of the department’s use of deadly force and pursuit policies.
