Curator seeks funds as Edison site marks centennial
West Orange New Jersey AP reports curator Edward Pershey worries over preserving 400000 Edison artifacts and over 3 million pages of documents at the Edison National Historic Site. The 1887 lab complex hosts about 40000 visitors yearly and is run by the National Park Service. Budget limits leave the 10 person staff with only 4200 for supplies travel and training this year. Top priority projects would require around 150000.
