Local hero Kenny Tiller saves sisters from river tragedy
Kenny Tiller Jr a Big Creek High School senior leaped into the Dry Fork River to rescue four sisters and revive two who sank after one girl Sandra Hicks fell and struck her head near Rift Breakthrough on U S Route 19. He performed CPR revived Ellen and Tammy while a bystander and deputies searched for Sandra until her body was recovered after a five hour river search. Authorities hailed his bravery though he downplays hero status.
