A mass departure of Japanese field laborers and families occurred in Turlock California after fifty eight Japanese men were deported to Keyes by a white union of fruit and melon pickers. The mob of about seventy five men allegedly rough handled some Japanese and robbed others while threatening to burn a hotel and bunk houses.
